ePH Cares: Community Involvement & Charity Work

ePlatinum Health agents value their local communities because they are part of their local communities. ePlatinum Health knows that being part of the community means working toward the betterment of all so part of our company is devoted to charitable work: ePH Cares. ePH Cares encourages and recognizes the volunteer work our agents engage in, and participates in local and regional charitable events, fielding teams for fundraisers.

Encourages Volunteerism in the Community

ePlatinum Health values connections to the local community and our agents are active community members. The leadership at ePlatinum Health demonstrates commitment to community service through the personal involvement of founders Jeff Martin and Frank Souk. Both Jeff and Frank volunteer regularly. Jeff calls Bingo at a local senior center, and Frank does so at a residential facility. As an organization, ePlatinum Health encourages all of its local, independent agents to engage in civic volunteerism. We participate in local food drives and coat drives, for instance. Through our regular communications, we encourage civic engagement and share stories. Recognizing those agents particularly active in community service is an important part of our meetings.

Fields Teams in Fundraising Events

ePlatinumHealth participates in local and regional fundraising events, gathering together a team of ePlatinum agents to support causes aligned with our mission. About once a quarter, ePlatinumHealth agents gather to run or climb for a good cause. So, for instance, ePH Cares meant that we had a team of 17 who ran in the Arthritis Foundation Run/Walk in August 2017. In March, we usually do the Fight for Air Climb, running to the top of the U.S. Bank building, the tallest building in Milwaukee. Those events are directly connected to health issues like arthritis and COPD (Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease). Others connect with our respect for our clients, many of whom are veterans. We have a group from ePlatinumHealth who run in the We Run They Fly 5K benefiting the Stars and Stripes Honor Flight which flies veterans to Washington D.C. to visit the memorials.

ePlatinum Health is about more than health insurance. It’s about all the people we serve and the communities we live in. ePH Cares reflects our company’s core value of appreciation and respect for our clients, and our belief that their health issues ought not become financial ones.
